Artist’s Statement
“Raised in Europe, my art was the only thing that always went with me, as much never really fit into a suitcase when you have so many memories to pull from. Her fundamental interest is in creating works that call for the participation of the audience to the same extent as their involvement, and believe it is the job of the artist to always deepen the mystery of the story, and evoke basic human emotions”.
Artist’s Bio
Cheryl is a devoted arts advocate, and is involved with numerous organizations representing collaborative missions of promoting the arts on a worldwide scale. As a Board Member of many organizations, she is a past President of the San Dieguito Art Guild, current President of the Carlsbad Oceanside Art League, Vice President of the San Diego Arts Directory, Member of the Surfing Madonna Oceans Project, and owner of the Stardust Arts. She is accomplished artist, and recognized in the community as a recent Woman of Impact in North County for Arts and Culture, as well as being accredited as a Biennale artist, Italy. She is a creative artist who enjoys using a variety of mediums, to express herself, and not always confirming to the academia of art. One never knows what is in her mind as she contemplates the beauty and creativity life offers daily which she absolutely loves.
Her work is exhibited in private, corporate, and public collections, and has been displayed in juried and solo shows, galleries, and international art exchanges. She has branded the Rock n’ Roll Marathons, TICA and Gater on the Bay festivals with her commissioned artwork as well as being a historical painter for the Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside.
