June: Abstract and Monthly Shows are open. Please apply below. Take-in is June 3 at 10am for both shows. They may close early. Enter early due to space capacity, don’t wait! The following show opens the day after take-in of the current month. Check your online Annual Calendar upcoming dates. Special show have different entry dates and deadlines. Review all forms, guidelines and information before you enter a show and also check the FAQ.

Remember to pick your art on the day of every take-in form the previous show. June 3 – by 1 pm. We are no longer holding onto artworks past 24 hrs. So please make arrangements.

Abstract Show: * IMPORTANT. Please read the entire Prospectus here, before entering. what does not fit into an Abstract show, please enter in the June Monthly show below. (Sorry no early take-in’s for this show.) Enter here.

These are the step below required to enter shows. All entries are done online. Payment is included in the application, via Paypal, Credit Cards, and Debit cards are accepted. Fees are non-refundable.

  • To enter the Monthly Shows, complete and submit the Abstract Show here and the Prospectus, or the Monthly Show here. You can enter both shows, but they are on separate applications, with the appropriate corresponding entry fees. Must be a member in good standing to apply.
  • Up to 3 items for the Abstract show and up to 5 items for the Monthly Show may be entered per show. All art must be less than 60”, (1 large piece only in accepted), all are measured diagonally.
  • Enter early as the show could get filled sooner than the deadline date.
  • Show space is limited to a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to sign up as early as possible. Entries will no longer be accepted when the show reaches capacity. Each monthly show closes four (4) days in advance of Take-In date, unless filled.
  • Take-in: The Gallery will be open only from 10am to 1pm.
  • Any early take-in must be approved by the Gallery Manager, and signed in to be accepted. If it is left without notification, it will not be accepted.
  • Please review the art preparation guidelines . Please review the Art Show Rules & Categories and prepare correctly to avoid future rejection of your artwork.
  • Please remember: No AI artwork will be accepted.
  • Members HOSTING Calendar Link:. You must host 1 sitting, Ix for each month, Please note: This is a viewable Calendar only. The Hosting Calendar link is also provided in our Item 5: Gallery – Forms, Hosting, Calendars, Docs & Art Info along with the Substitute Hosts.
  • Special Open Annuals, or special shows have different dates. Please read the Open Show information we provide on this website regarding each show.
  • Members may replace your art pieces if sold with the same size work.

Below are the Open Show updates of what is going on in the gallery for 2024. Updates weekly, please review them, and place them on your calendars so you do not miss any of them.

Entrance is fee-based; Members: $20/day and $35 for both days. Non-Members (juried in) $40/day and $75 for both days. You must have a Sellers Permit, (see info here) and, Contact Deb Capetz for details at [email protected]. More info to come!

This payment feature is available for payment on the day of only for Members and Non-Members. Art on the Green is an artist COAL program where you can exhibit and sell your artwork every weekend (Sat and/or Sun) at the Carlsbad Inn on the front lawn (weather permitting).

The COAL/NCAG’s policies, procedures, and forms governing the Gallery management operations are listed below. Everything is at your fingertips and is intended to be used as a reference for the League’s current information required for being a Member. *Note: Information is updated regularly.

The COAL Bylaws governing the non-profit legal operations are available by request and by appointment at the Gallery in the presence of a Director.

The Gallery Manual of Procedures is available onsite to all Members and is also included in the above details.

You have an opportunity to hang art on one Baffle Panel, for a (2-month term). Preview the instructions below before signing up.

Baffle Availability per session: JAN/FEB, MAR/APR, JUN/JUL, SEPT/OCT, and NOV/DEC. (MAY might have exceptions due to the Youth Show, and is determined on a need-to-fill basis). Openings are posted in the Brushmark the first of each month. Read below to see if you are qualified. It is first come first serve basis

Space is limited to 16 artists per session. The fee is $83 for 2 months, non-refundable, and will close when filled. Apply/Pay here. Baffles open for NOV/DEC on June 1. Fees and Baffle location is not transferable.

  • Review the Baffle Guidelines and Instructions before you apply.
  • Review the Art Guidelines and Preparation before you apply.
  • Complete/save the online application above, and note all details.
  • You will be sent an Artist Agreement with all the details/schedules and instructions. Save them and mark your Calendars.
  • Rotation Schedules, date and time are listed in your application, emails, and should be noted in advance. (schedules may vary). Positions are determined in 4 month increments, and by lotto at a specified reception for assignment.
  • Read/save your emails when received, they have all your details that you need. Questions: contact the Baffle Chair, Charcee Colosia for questions at [email protected].

You have an opportunity to participate in a juried process to secure a (2-month term) placement. 15.5”w x 11.5”d X 15” h, load weight bearing 5 lbs, enclosed with a glass shelf.

If accepted you will be redirected here to pay and enter your application to secure your placement. Space is limited so act now. New Jewelers or 3D Tower artists Apply/Pay here. Fee-based $42 for 2 months, non-refundable.

Jewelers and 3D Pedestal Guidelines

You have an opportunity to participate in a juried process to secure a (2-month term) for placement on one of three available columns, 14″x14″ with a 12″x12″. acrylic shielded base, load weight bearing 40lbs maximum.

Space is limited to one pedestal per artist. Contact the Gallery Manager for further details at [email protected]. If accepted you will be redirected here to pay and enter your application details. Space is limited so act now Apply/Pay here. Fee-based, $31 for 2 months, non-refundable.

As a current member of the Carlsbad Oceanside Art League (COAL), you are registering to have your artist page displayed on the COAL/NCAG website. You must include the following:

  • A high-reso photo of yourself not over 2 mg.  
  • An Artist Statement and/or Bio as filled out below
  • Upload 6 high-reso photos of your artwork, not over 2 mg each
  • Acknowledge the Waiver to Hold Harmless the COAL/NCAG for any works that are copied from the website without your permission.
  • A registration fee of $45.00 is payable on this application.
  • Updates to your artist page are $5.00 each to help defray our website’s monthly hosting costs.

August 15, 2024. Paint Along in the Gallery. Last year was a huge success as everyone enjoyed a sip with refreshments, and leaned special techniques and tips. Join us this year, Hurry, we filled up last year and had to close acceptance early. Supplies are provided.
